Interested in a cement coating? Here’s how
-
High pressure cleaning
The very first step is to high-pressure clean the existing concrete/pebblecrete so a good surface bond can be made. (If the surface is painted, we will need to remove the painted concrete at this stage with a diamond grinder.)
-
Crack repair
We angle grind a groove in the cracks and then we fill them with a specialised epoxy resin that is twice the strength of normal concrete! This is absolutely the best product on the market for repairing cracks, and it requires skill to be applied correctly.
-
Masking paper
Prior to applying the base coat, we mask off all of the walls and windows and gardens. We guarantee our workmanship, and so we guarantee there will be no overspray on your house at the end of the job.
-
Base Coat
Now we apply first coat of colour. This step involves spraying a base cement coating of colour onto the existing concrete. This is the grout colour after the pattern and main colour are revealed.
-
Apply pattern if applicable
At this stage in the concrete resurfacing process, we tape up a tile design or a stencil pattern unless it’s an “all over” colour coating with just a border pattern. There is a great range of custom stencil patterns like natural bushrock or if you prefer instead, we can tape by hand a modern geometric pattern or the classic tile design in diamonds or squares.
-
Top Coat
Now we apply multiple fine coats of main colour to build up the colour in the same way a fine car painter might spray a car. We apply multi coats to guarantee the colour is as even as possible.
-
Flecks and feature colours
If you would like a fine or heavy speckle in one or more different colours, we can do this for you at absolutely no extra cost. We also mask off and spray different coloured borders if you have chosen that option for your new concrete driveway.
-
Strip Pattern
Once the cement resurfacing coating has dried, we strip the stencil or tape pattern and blow and sweep the area into a neat pile (we take away all of our rubbish, leaving no mess behind). The surface is finally ready to seal.
-
Apply concrete sealer
With the concrete driveway or patio free from debris and dust we roll on a coat of undiluted full-strength sealer. For cement coatings, we apply a second coat. Now your lovely new driveway or pool surround is safely protected from the elements until it is time to reseal again. Read about our proper maintence guide here

Written Warranty
With a smile and a handshake we hand over a full written Warranty Certificate and barricade the area with barricade tape.
